Our Ongoing Projects

  1. DHS Know Your Numbers Campaign – The goal of this project is to get individuals above 40 to know and understand their blood sugar and pressure numbers. To achieve this, our sponsors make strips and glucometers available to us for the benefit of our beneficiaries at highly subsidized costs. DHS also sources blood pressure machines and gives away free charts as well.

  2. DHS Under 5ives Deworming project – This project is targeted at children of school age and pre-school age where we visit schools and communities deworming the children.

  3. DHS –Attack Malaria Campaign – This is targeted primarily at children and pregnant women whom we seek out in their communities to test and treat for malaria as well as distribute insecticide treated mosquito nets.

  4. DHS Hygiene Saves Campaign – targeted primarily at young children, adolescents and their mothers where we teach them simple hygiene and the many diseases that can be prevented through hygiene and also safe practices for drinking water.

  5. DHS Youth & Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Campaign – This campaign is carried out through the mass media, community outreaches, school outreaches and sensitization workshops where we educate youth and adolescent. We also open up channels of communication, giving these youngsters an open door in the event they need counselling and or help.
